Franco Lumba, the former owner of Kingston’s Gala Bingo hall, has been declared bankrupt after unpaid bills.

Lumba pleaded guilty to executing work or alternations to the Grade II listed building, after destroying the historic floor of the bingo hall.

The case was held at Croydon Crown Court in April after the case was moved from Kingston due to animosity in the area. Lumba only changed to plea to guilt just days before the trial.
