Real Tombola bingo players become TV stars
Top provider of online bingo tombola Bingo has brought out a fresh selection of short films that will promote the firms sponsorship of popular ongoing drama Emmerdale. Players at tombola were asked to express an interest if they wanted to take part in shooting earlier this year. The result was 25 normal, everyday bingo players being selected from scores of applications to be a part of this new set of promotional advertorials that started not long ago.
The mini adverts feature at the start and end of the Emmerdale TV programme and at the start and conclusion of each and every advertising break in the show also.
The lucky Tombola players chosen to participate travelled to the Cornish Riviera to make the films and did activities from sandcastle building to quad biking, from making pasties to abseiling and fishing. All this was shot like a reality show.
There is a sequence of 21 varied short films with clips from the events performed and every person that participated will feature as the main character for a few seconds each. These specific ads will run for approx twelve months and since the sponsorship includes all Emmerdale broadcasts spanning all the ITV channels, all online sponsorship of the show and a lot more that is a lot of screen time for every person and tombola bingo.
Dawn-Elizabeth Howe, Head of Marketing at Tombola, states:
“These ads have the same creative format as the previous ads on the Emmerdale show. We had great feedback as the warmth and fun the players had together comes across brilliantly in the final bumpers and it really reflects what tombola is all about. So when we decided to produce new ads we knew we wanted to repeat much of the existing look and feel.”
